We had 4 other litter boxes (1 automatic self cleaning) and 3 others that were static. This is by far the best litter box ever! We have in our laundry room with the opening facing the wall and it adds to the decor in that room. Cats love it too! 1 cat who is very skittish, and refused 2 other boxes loves this box. I use ‘jumbo’ liners from meijers and it makes cleaning under 40 seconds.
My Egyptian Mau cats absolutely love this litter box. It allows them to have privacy as well as holding stinky odors in. The design on this box is very stylish. It goes well with all home decor’s. Your guests won’t even guess that it’s a litter box.
I bought one and then another a few months later. They are easy to assemble and clean. The “pot” finish is authentic looking but the plant and wiry moss are not at all lifelike and tedious to arrange the first time. But my cats (2)(ages 8 and 9) love them, especially the privacy. I have them on small washable area rugs, one on each floor. I had previously bought one of the covered litter boxes you tilt to clean, but it was ugly and did not work well for me as it was smallish and I like to give my cats a deeper bed of clumping litter than was practical for that model.
I’ve had this thing for 6 months now, and it’s really great. The cats really have taken to it, and it adds a nice amount of decor to the room.
However, a few thoughts. First, over time, it warps. It’s hard to get the top to stay on the bottom part.
Second, caring for the litter is a PAIN. Filling the entire bottom part with litter works okay, but then when it’s time to change the litter? It’s a ridiculous task: the base is larger than large garbage bags, and there’s no easy spout. Once I messed up and… let’s just say it was a VERY scarring experience. Now, I have a small litter pan inside the thing, which the cats sometimes find a bit *too* small if you catch my drift. But it’s still better than nothing.
Third, it’s too small to hold these automatic litter boxes I’ve been hearing so much about.
If I had a time machine, I’d probably tell my past self that this is a good purchase, but I could get the same effect by putting a table over a standard litter box, and putting a REAL plant (or plants) on that table!
I love this litter box! It is sitting right next to my couch and nobody knows what it is! You can’t smell anything and my cat didn’t have any problems using it. It is the best purchase I have made!
Product looks good, but is very hard to get the top and the bottom to match up and not have the top fall into the bottom portion. Also I use cat litter liners which I have yet to find any that fit the actual bowl, either way too small or too big. The only way to use it as pictured is to not use a liner and wash it every time. I would probably go with something a little less hassle next time.
Arrived quickly & in good condition. It looks like a real plant from a distance, texture on the planter is realistic even up close. Interior is roomy for kitty and a nice way to hide a litter box.
WOW! My cat loves this thing! I wasn’t sure since it looks funny… but it sure works! I had to move my litter box into the living room (Small Condo) and of course no one wants to see a cat going potty! The fake plant on top is definitely FAKE! but hey! She likes it, my guests don’t know it’s there and everyone is happy!
People don’t really take notice to the large plant in the corner of the room until a cat goes in and starts throwing litter around inside. It contains smell well (unless I’ve been lazy and slacked a bit in keeping up) and litter scatter has been greatly reduced. It’s easy to clean (every other week or so I’ll rinse it with a bit of water before switching to fresh litter), but the fakes plant leaves do collect dust pretty quickly.
The plant itself doesn’t look fabulous, but it’s not horribly ugly. My cats seem to think it’s real, as all of the tips have been chewed to rags. ;D
This litter box has taken care of our problem of a huge, ugly plastic box sticking out like a sore thumb in our bedroom. Nobody knows that our plant is a hidden litter box except for the cats!
To all who are interested in this product, it’s fabulous. Warning it is huge though for those with small living quarters, it’s definitely great for multiple cats. My one is totally spoiled now and her tail doesn’t stick out anymore and she seems to spend more time scratching in there now so I guess she likes it too. The only reason I give it 4 out of 5 is because I do wish the hole was a little smaller or possibly round/oval, but this is something myself and kitty can definitely live with
This is a great litter pan, the inside is large & smooth, nothing for litter to get caught in. Its easy to scoop which was important to me. Once you arrange the plant it looks fine, they are also starting to offer different plants for this litter box! I added some rocks around the plant instead of moss—this part is just NOT a good idea with cats! Really is a great option if you need to put a litter pan in an obvious place!
LOVE these litter boxes! No one knows they’re not just decoration – at first, even the cats didn’t know they were litter boxes! The plants did look a little cheesy but I replaced them and now they’re just lovely. The box holds a lot more litter than regular sized ones do, which is an added bonus if you go away for a long weekend, have multiple cats or can’t empty them frequently. And the price on Amazon is soo much more reasonable than every other place I looked. I’d definitely recommend getting these, especially if you don’t have a laundry room, pantry, or other hiding spot for your litter box.
I first saw this litter box in the Skymall magazine and was tempted to buy it at a higher price. When I found it on Amazon for a lot cheaper, it was a no brainer. My cats took to the box quickly and it blends in nicely with my decor. It was a bit bigger than I thought, but that’s the beauty of it blending in. Love it!
I have had several friends over since I purchased this item, and none of them believe it is a dirt box until they see the hidden opening. My cat loves it, I love it, everybody is happy. My only critique is they should create a version in which you could put a real plant, as the fake leaves much to be desired. But if you can get past that, and you need a hidden dirt box for a small apartment, this is the box for your cat.
What more could you ask for? We live in a very small apartment, and the only place to reasonably put the litter box has to be right in a hallway that’s visible by the kitchen and living room. This was the perfect solution to effectively hide our litter box, look great… and it’s a breeze to clean! It’s really light weight, so it’s easy to pull off the top, move, scoop and done! To top it off, our cat not only has a private place to go potty, but he entertains himself with the fake plant on top. It’s suffered a lot of cat-abuse since we got it… and it still looks awesome. If he ever does manage to rip those leaves to shreds, I can always pickup some new ones at any dollar store, and they’ll still look great. I love this thing!
This cat box rocks!!! Big enough for the cat and clever enough to be incognito in a 1 bedroom condo. Even the professional cat-sitter was shocked, “that’s cool!”

I was a little skeptical at first when my husband showed me this but Colbie (my little kitty) really enjoys the space that she has in her “box”. I live in a small apartment so the plant was a great find for us. Nobody even knows it’s a litter box. I thought it was expensive at first but after going to the pet stores and seeing how much they charge for a plastic box this is a steal. I am very pleased with this product and would recommend it.
This litter box is an excellent idea! We were faced with the problem of where to relocate our cat’s litter box and the only place we could put it was in our family room. To put a conventional litter box there would have not been desirable. I found this hidden litter box that looks like a large plant and no one is the wiser! Our cat took to it right away and we haven’t had a problem with it. We just put it in the corner with the opening facing the corner. I highly recommend this. Although I felt it was a little pricey, it’s worth it to avoid having to look an unattractive litter box. Now we have a litter box that doesn’t look like a litter box and the plant and pot fit in nicely with our decor!
This is a great product for anyone with a cat who wants to hide the litter box. It was easy to assemble and looks like the picture. The plant is surprisingly life-like and looks great in my sunroom. The entrance is big enough for my 15 pound cat to easily go in and out, and she had no qualms about using it. I highly recommend this product.
Hidden Litter is just that…hidden. What a great idea! My cat weighs 14 pounds and it’s big enough for her to easily get in and out. Don’t be turned off by the initial smell of the product when you first open the box…it smells like a lube/oil/filter shop! But that’s gone within a day. The best thing is, no one will ever know where the poop box is … as long as you do your part and keep it clean!
I originally saw this product in SkyMall magazine during a Southwest Airlines flight. In the catalog the very same product was priced at over $100. When I found it on Amazon for less than half the price I decided to get it. This product more than lives up to it’s claims! I have it on my balcony and no one can tell it’s actually a litter box! Sure, the “plant” is pretty fake looking but seems to be durable enought to withstand sun, heat, wind, rain and cold. I ordered it on a Monday – elected to have it sent overnight for about $30 and received it on Tuesday. Assembly took about 5 minutes. Overall, I will say this product is worth it’s weight in kitty litter!

I can’t tell you how relieved I am to find a way to keep 6 cats in litter and still have a fresh-smelling home. (And I’ve tried every litter contraption known to human kind. My goodness, the money I’ve spent!) My place is not very big and these planters are perfect to keep in rooms where you might not ordinarily want to have a litter box. Very easy to clean. The inside of the bottom half is super smooth so litter doesn’t stick (no need to get the insert). The hole is big enough to allow for scooping without taking the top off but the top is easy to get off and on if you’re in a really tight space and can’t reach into the front. Not one problem with leaking and the cats can enthusiastically scratch the litter and it all stays inside. The charcoal filter seems to work since on the occasions when I can’t scoop as often as I should, the odor is controlled. Thank you Good Pet Stuff!
This is exactly what I expected after reading all the reviews and the plant part is fine, just took alittle adjusting. You really can’t tell it’s a litter box and looks great on my lani.

First off, this item looks much better in real life than the photos here on Amazon. I was pleasantly surprised.
And who has a house or apartment where they can actually “hide” the litter box? Most people with indoor cats lose a needed closet, bathroom, cabinet or have to buy expensive litter box furniture. Unless they live in a mansion…
This is a smart solution, even if the $69 price tag stings a little. Have purchased more than one of the fancy littermaid automatic things which break before your check clears. And even those are ugly and hard/expensive to hide.
The plant takes a bit of arranging and patience due to the shipping conditions (it’s wrapped up in plastic and bent to fit the cardboard box). And while in the future, I might cave and replace it with something more to my liking, it’s truly not bad, especially in low light. Expected worse. Seen worse.
Placed this right next to the old covered box, and within hours my 2 cats were using it. I’m thrilled because it looks so nice — or more accurately — much better than than the traditional covered box I had before.
The only negatives:
- Difficult to use liners (if you intend for it to NOT look like a litter box). So best to scoop often and be careful while washing the hand painted outside surface.
- Aligning the top and bottom of the pot is tricky. Seriously. The plastic is razor thin, had they spent 5 minutes with a smart industrial designer they could have fixed that flaw. See below.
- REALLY cheap construction, (see above). Had they manufactured this smartly, they could have made a 5 star product.
All in all, the kitties are pleased. And I can hide their crapper in plain sight, so I’m happy too.
Overall, given the pricey alternatives, it’s a hit.
My cat loves this litter box! I was a little worried because she is getting older (11) and I thought she might not like it. But she is perfectly happy with it! The only thing I would suggest is purchasing the set with the pan inside. It can be cheaper to purchase through amazon and then go to another website to purchase the liner. The plant takes a little time to seperate and arrange, but that’s okay. It even comes with an extra attachment so you could purchase your own plants and/or flowers and use. Overall, I think this is a fantastic idea, espcially for people who have limited space in their homes!
It’s great to have a litter box that doesn’t look like a litter box! Even the 18 pound Maine Coon loves it. May have to do as someone else did, get a second just for use as a “playhouse”.
We’ve mechanical before… and were looking for another one. But since we had the litter maid self cleaning… it appears, from reviews, that the quality has really suffered the last year ot two. Other self cleaning boxes were either too much money, or the Coon may have had issues using.
Mrs. Real may upgrade the foliage display… whether she does or not…. if it’s self cleaning or not… WE LOVE not “seeing” the litter box!
Adding this 6/30/08… We haven’t changed the foliage… it’s just fine. Mrs. Real is REALLY happy with this purchase! Which of course… makes ME really happy!
My cat, Lemon, and I recently moved into a small rental house with no discreet location to place his accommodations. Lemon is a large, lanky cat (16+ lbs.). His previous litter box was a jumbo covered model in the stylish colors of blue & silver (very difficult to ‘blend in’ with oatmeal colored carpet and cream colored walls!) We were expecting our first visit from family. I looked all over the internet for a solution to our dilema…. folding screens were too small for his oversized box; no oversized boxes were available in colors that would ‘go’ with the house better (there must be an excess of maroon, blue, silver & putty plastic!!); and the furniture-type boxes were nice, but too rich for our budget.
When I was just about to give up in frustration, I came across the “Good Stuff Hidden Litter Box”.
It is THE PERFECT SOLUTION!!! It sits in the living room, next to the stereo, and looks very attractive there. It was easy to assemble (arranging the ‘plant’ took the most time). Lemon took to it immediately, without any problems – the box is plenty large enough for him!! AND, I don’t have to take the top off to ‘weed out’ the clump litter!
I cannot recommend this product highly enough!!!!!
It’s a little flimsy. But I do like it. I tossed the moss-like material that covers top. My cat would have tried to eat it. I replaced that with small stones and it looks fine. Cat’s happy. I’m happy.
I am very pleased with the Hidden Cat Litter Box. If you have to have a litter box out in the open, this one really blends into the furnishings and doesn’t look like your regular litter box. It is easy to clean, the only thing that has been a problem is that my cat likes to pull the moss, which is around the plant on top, out and drag it around. I could always replace them with something else like larger stones they make for flower pots etc. Because the box is enclosed, with just one opening, it also limits my cats getting litter all over when she scratches around in the box. Overall, I’m glad I bought it and will keep it as long as it lasts.
I purchased the hidden litter box for my two cats because they are confined to the house and the litter box is located in an atrium in the center of the house, viewable from almost every room. Although it looks nothing like a litter box, the cats knew immediately what it was for and we have had no accidents at all. What a great solution for those who love cats and also love having a beautiful home!

This is a great product. We have a 15 lb cat and we were worried that he wouldn’t fit, or would be scared to use it. He fits just fine and loves it! The fake plant is fine. I didn’t have any problems adjusting or making it look nice. The leaves are easy to bend and manipulate so that the plant looks more lifelike. The finish on the outside looks good for being plastic. It’s hand painted so you have to be careful when washing. I would highly recommend this hidden cat litter box. Great product and great idea! It actually made the corner in our hallway more cheerful.
This is really a great product for kitty litter. You would hardly know what it was just by looking at it. It’s much bigger than you expect. I have two cats that use it and there are no issues.
The only issue was forming the leaves. It took several times of messing with them to get them to look right.

I really like the light=weight design, however it is cheaply made for the price. The artificial plant leaves a lot to be desired, but I plan on replacing it with a real one as others have suggested. The main thing is my cats love it and that’s enough for me! I plan on getting another one to use as a bed for my tabbies

I admit I was a bit skeptical after reading several reviews, but I figured it was still more attractive than a cat box. I have to admit I was quite impressed. Even my children did not comment negatively. It actually looks better than the real plant I had there. The cats (there are 4) took to it quickly. Not to difficult to clean. Price through Amazon very reasonable compared to other cataloug prices.
This is the best litter box I have ever had! The filter at the top really makes a difference. People who come in my home don’t even know that I have a cat. Plus, it looks great so you can have it just about anywhere in your house. I almost made the mistake of purchaseing the VERY expensive metal liner (sold seperately) but it is NOT needed. The bottom portion of the litter box is one piece so nothing is going to leak out.
I love this litter box! My sister and I needed something that did not look like a litter box for our new apartment and this was the perfect fit. It sits neatly in a corner and no one can tell that it is anything but a plant. We are thinking of putting our own fake plant in the top because it’s not the greatest fake plant I’ve ever seen but it does the job and looks better than a regular covered litter box. I was tired of the eyesore of the litter box, so this is a nice alternative. The plant looks a bit generic, but who is going to be looking that closely at it? At some point I will probably replace the plant with something better looking. The litter box is plenty roomy as well as the opening.
We were fortunate to get this on sale, because when it arrives, our first thought was “$$$ for a plastic pot”? But our two cats took to it from the start, and we no longer have to leave the porch door wedged open for them, because we can have the litterbox hidden right in the house. So we’re probably earning back the price in fuel savings right there! The plastic plant looks fine. I did cut my hand on the doorway (rough edges) but this is not a problem if you clean it with the lid off. Our only concern is not being able to use a liner, but hopefully it will hold up well and continue to smell (or, more to the point, not smell!) for years to come. So far an enormous hit.

This cat box is great! Didn’t have anywhere I could keep the liter box without it standing out! When I saw this I had to have it. It is actually bigger than you think it would be but I love it and so does my kitten! I would definetly recommend this cat box.
I had seen this product in other retail magazines for more than double the price I paid at amazon. It is a great product. The litter pot is big and it looks much nicer than the standard litter boxes. I changed out the plant to one that looks more realistic.
We LOVE this new product! Bought it for our medium sized cat, and before we even set the thing up he’s under the hood peeking out. He loves it! And it honestly doesnt even leak out the aweful stench that some other litter boxes allow, we have this in our living room and no one would ever know that it was harbouring fecies!! Setting up the leaves was no easy task, but in the end it was definitley worth it. Easy to clean and hide!
The hidden litter box is a great choice for cat owners! I have a large adult cat and he took the to the litter box right away. The “pot” is large and could probably accommadate 2 cats. The plant and moss aren’t the most realistic but can be easily replaced if desired. I am very happy with this purchase!
My husband and I decided to evict our cats’ litter box from the laundry room to the screened in back porch. Of course, we didn’t want to have something out there that screamed, “I’m a litter box!” so I looked for something that was incognito. I’d seen the exact same box in a catalog for more than twice as much, and once again Amazon came through! I received the box in about three days, and it looks great. Even the plant isn’t as cheesy in person as I’d envisioned. The overall quality is very good, and is plenty large enough for my three-cat household. I’m 100% satisfied with this purchase.
Is all I can say about the Good Pet Stuff Hidden Cat Litter Box. Our cat is 16 pounds and has plenty of room in the box. I had read in existing reviews that the “artifical plants” are hard to deal with. I didn’t find that so at all. The entire box and plant are about 4 to 4 1/2 feet tall. We are very glad we bought it and can highly recommend to anyone who wants a hidden cat box. I can also highly recommend the seller..

I love this product with one exception. The plant is not of good quality and looks fake. The “pot” itself is a great idea and looks real. My cats had no trouble with the transition from their old litter box to this one.
I own one and must say it looks surprisingly good for a thin plastic pot with a fake plant. The pot is realistic as long as you do not stoop to examine. The plant is not bad either and you can always use your own plant. It was difficult to arrange the leaves and the stem had to be “un bent”, but with a little effort it does not look bad at all.
The pot makes a large litter pan which I really like. I put mine in a corner with the opening towards the wall and as long as you keep it cleaned out people do not seem to notice.
I bought this when the only alternatives where $500+ wood furniture that looked nicer than my bedroom set. So I ordered a second one for the upstairs hallway. This is the problem, it has been on order for several months now. I cannot believe they are still selling this when it is back-ordered for so long. So I recommend this, but I would buy it from the manufacturer unless you have time to wait.

I wanted a cat litter box that did not look like a cat litter box for my small apartment. It looks pretty good but the artificial plant is not quite what I expected. It does surprise people when they see my cat go into the side of the pot. I did think this one was a little overpriced but otherwise I am somewhat satisfied.
Our cat box had taken over a whole closet when we decided to try this hidden box. It works great. They have no problem using it. Sometimes they play with the fake plant so I had to remove the “peat moss” topping before they had it all over the house. It’s a little bit tricky lining up the lid after you clean the box but you get used to it. I use a trash bag to line it so it’s easier to clean. It gets bunchy so see if you can get something that fits better. Guests think it’s really cool and everyone wants one. All in all, I’m very satisfied.
